School scholastic chess in Washington State! The Washington High School
Chess Association, or WHSCA, is a non-profit organization run by volunteers.
The officers of the Association are elected annually, by the Washington High
School Chess Coaches at the High School State Team Tournament. There are
currently three members on the board. The present members of the Board

This organization also currently runs and maintains the Northwest Scholastic
Rating System (NWSRS), long maintained as the WSRS by Ollie LaFreniere who died in August, 2002.
